Northborough ? Mark your calendar for Friday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 7 :30 p.m., in the Northborough Town Hall gym as the Northborough Recreation Department announces its Stay Active Stay Healthy Sporting Sale.
During the sale, you can buy all sorts of gently used sporting goods and sporting clothes for a low price. Northborough Rec wants everyone to be able to try that new sport, such as sating, sledding, hockey, snowboarding, etc., without breaking the bank. The program will be open to everyone who participates in Northborough Rec programs. You do not have to be a resident. You do not need to register for this event you; just show up and shop. All proceeds will go to the Northborough Recreation Department.

Goods drop-off
In order to obtain ?goods? to sell, Northborough Rec needs your help with donations. They will be collecting any sporting equipment for adults or children that you might have in good condition, from now until Oct. 31, in the recreation office at 63 Main St. (ground floor). Drop-off hours Mondays through Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to noon. Skis, snowboards, sleds, ski goggles, ice skates, hockey equipment, ski pants, hats, gloves, snow pants, cleats, boots, sneakers, etc. are being sought, and sporting equipment for soccer, basketball, football, lacrosse, tennis, baseball and softball will also be collected. Please make sure anything you donate is clean and in good condition.
